Vice-Chancellor's International Excellence Scholarship

Up to NZD $15,000 for undergraduate and NZD $10,000 for postgraduate international students joining the University of Waikato with a B+ GPA equivalent or higher.

Applicants must: Be an international student residing outside New Zealand and not currently enrolled at Waikato; Hold a conditional or unconditional offer; Be a first-time UG or PG applicant on a full-time course of at least 12 months; Have a B+ GPA equivalent or higher and meet English proficiency requirements; Not have paid prior tuition, be on exchange/study-abroad, hold external sponsor funding, or hold other Waikato/NZ government scholarships. Multiple trimester intake deadlines apply — 31 August 2026 (C Trimester), 31 October 2026 (H/X) and 30 November 2026 (A).
