Overview
The Vidyasiri Scholarship, offered by the Department of Backward Classes Welfare, Government of Karnataka, provides boarding and lodging assistance to OBC students pursuing post-matric courses outside their home district who could not secure a government/aided hostel seat.

Eligibility
Applicants must: Be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Karnataka belonging to the OBC category; Be studying outside their home district in a recognised college, not staying in a government/aided hostel; Have family income not exceeding ₹1,00,000 (rural) or ₹2,50,000 (urban); Have secured at least 50% in the qualifying exam; Maintain 75% attendance; Not be receiving any other food/hostel allowance from the government.
