Overview

The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship, run by SBI Foundation, supports students from Class 9 through postgraduate, professional (MBBS, IIT, IIM) and overseas courses with annual, merit-cum-means-based financial assistance.

Selection Process: Selection involves merit and financial-background screening, a telephonic interview, and document verification; 25% of seats are reserved for SC students and 25% for ST students, with the remaining seats open to all eligible applicants.

Amount & Benefits

₹15,000 to ₹20,00,000 per year depending on course level (e.g. ₹75,000 for UG, ₹1,00,000 for PG, ₹1,50,000 for Medical, ₹2,00,000 for IIT, ₹3,00,000 for IIM)
Paid annually until course completion via Direct Benefit Transfer to an Aadhaar-seeded bank account

Eligibility

Applicants must: Be Indian nationals studying from Class 9 onwards, undergraduate, postgraduate, or professional/overseas courses; Have secured at least 75% marks or 7 CGPA in the last qualifying exam (10% relaxation for SC/ST, 15% for PwBD); Have annual family income not exceeding ₹6,00,000; Hold or open an SBI bank account before applying.
