Overview
A monthly food and accommodation allowance of ₹1,500 for 10 months for OBC post-matric students in Karnataka living away from home, from the state's Backward Classes Welfare Department.

Eligibility
Applicants must: Be an Indian citizen and permanent resident of Karnataka; Belong to the OBC list notified by the central/state government; Be pursuing a post-matric course at a government/aided/recognised private institution located at least 5 km from home or in a different city/town; Have annual family income not exceeding ₹2,50,000 (Category 1) or ₹1,00,000 (Categories 2A/3A/3B); Have scored at least 55% (Category 1) or 65% (others) in the qualifying exam.
