Overview

The AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girl Students 2026-27 is open to girl students pursuing technical degree or diploma courses at AICTE-approved institutions, administered through the National Scholarship Portal.

Selection Process: Applications are submitted and verified through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) — institute verification and DNO/SNO/MNO-level verification follow submission before final disbursement. 5,000 scholarships are awarded each year for degree courses and 5,000 for diploma courses.

Amount & Benefits

₹50,000 per annum, for up to 3 years (degree) or 2 years (lateral entry)
Can be used for tuition fees, books, stationery, software, equipment, and computers
Paid via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the student's bank account

Eligibility

Applicants must: Be girl students admitted to the 1st year (or 2nd year via lateral entry) of an AICTE-approved technical diploma/degree programme via centralised admission; Have annual family income not exceeding ₹8,00,000. Limited to two girls per family.
